By now, everyone must’ve heard of Donald Trump’s asinine idea of taking over GAZA. I must say, of all the hair-brained ideas he had, and they were plenty, this one takes the cake.
When a reporter asked him, are you going to buy it? He said, there’s nothing to buy, we just take it and clean it up, develop it and cherish it. Another reporter asked, what about the people who live in it now? He said we will send them to Jordan and Egypt to live in beautiful houses and beautiful area in peace where they don’t have to die.
If I were a reporter, I’d ask him the following questions:
- What if the people in GAZA don’t want to leave? Are you going to send the US army and kill them? After 15 months of war with Hamas, the Israeli army accomplished nothing other than destroying building, killing thousands of people and starving the rest of them, what makes you think you can do better? Do you know that it’s illegal to take someone’s property against their will? This is called armed robbery.
- We all heard from Jordan and Egypt. They don’t want the Palestinians in their countries, how are you going to force them to do that? Are you going to bomb them too? Or maybe cut their allowances.
- Who is going to foot the bill of developing GAZA and clean it up? Which will be in the $100’s of billions.
- The people of GAZA lost everything, their homes, their livelihoods, their resources, and some lost their lives. The ones who are still there have nothing left but the land. Are you going to rob them of it too?
- Those beautiful homes you are promising the Palestinians with, whose money are you going to use to build them? Or maybe you are referring to refugee camps where people live in tents as beautiful homes?
- Tell the truth Donny!! Whose idea is this? Is it Miriam Adelson, who paid you $100 million to do this dirty work for her, or Benjamin Netanyahu who has tremendous influence in this country, or maybe Jarred Kushner, who came up with the idea about a year ago? He couldn’t hide his greed of stealing that “valuable water front land” as he described it?
I could never understand the mentality of the people who voted for you, many of whom regret that and wish they can take back their votes. Heaven help us for the next 4 years.
