In the United States, we pride ourselves of living in a democratic country and have a good and honest system, but is that true? Let’s dig a little deeper.
The president of this country is elected every 4 years, and if he is a good president, he may get reelected for one more term of 4 more years. The senators and members of the House of Representatives are also elected by the people. All that is fine and dandy, but when it comes to the Secretaries, called Ministers in other countries, and the Supreme Court Judges, they are nominated by the president and confirmed by the Senate. The president almost never picks and nominates a Secretary or a Supreme Court Judge from the other party. If he’s a Republican, he will pick Republicans to fill those positions and if he’s a democrat, he will a Democrat.
While it’s OK for the president to pick someone from his own party to fill the positions of Secretaries, after all he needs someone who agrees with him to implement his policy, however, it is WRONG for him to pick judges for the Supreme Court from his party.
A judge should be, above all, FAIR AND IMPARTIAL, but if he or she is picked by the president, they will never be fair and impartial. They should be chosen based on their fairness and good judgements and should not be affiliated with any party. What do you think the chances of a Palestinian man, getting a fair decision by the judge, going against an Israeli man in an Israeli court? A big fat zero.
In the current Supreme Court, the ratio of Republicans to Democrats is 6:3, that’s why Donald Trump keeps appealing rulings of lower courts that he does not agree with until they reach the Supreme Court so he gets a favorable ruling. Also, a Supreme Court judge holds that position for life. The only way to get a new judge is for a current one to resign or die, even if he’s a corrupt judge and everyone knows it like in the case of Clarence Thomas, and this is wrong. Is that what they call democracy???
The case of the Supreme Court is bad, but what’s even worse is the bribery in the different branches in the government, even the president is stuffing his pockets with bribe money. Elon Musk contributed $250 million to him, and that’s why he’s allowed to do whatever he wants in the government, and Miriam Adelson contributed $100 million and demanded the annexation of all Palestinian land of the West Bank and GAZA to Israel, that’s why he came up with the idea of taking GAZA which he will undoubtedly turn over to Israel later on. During his first term, he received a similar amount from her and she demanded that the American Embassy in Israel be moved from Tel-Aviv to Jerusalem and the annexation of the Golan Height. All done to her satisfaction.
All of the Republicans and the majority of the Democrats in the House and Senate are bought and paid for by the Israeli Lobby. There’s no limit to this bribery, or what they call, contribution. That’s why Israel gets everything it asks for. We, in this country, have a deficit of $34 Trillion and yet we borrow more to send Israel very expensive bombs to kill innocent Palestinians and give them billions of dollars because our corrupt senators and House Reps can’t say NO to their master, the Israeli Lobby. That’s our democracy.
